Chitosan is a type of fibre obtained from the shells and skeletons of lobsters, prawns and crabs.
Chitosan, as well as having the same properties as other fibres, travels through the intestine trapping fats and taking them out of our body, thus preventing their absorption and reducing the calorie intake of our food. This only happens with the fat that we are going to eat, not with the fat that has already accumulated.
Chitosan has no side effects.
